Good to Know Before You Go
When’s the best time to fish with Letmfly?
Peak dates usually book up 6–12 months in advance, but every season on Montana's water brings its own vibe and hatches. Whether you’re coming for the summer heat or the crisp fall air, we’re stoked to help you make your specific trip window unforgettable.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
You’re more than welcome to bring your favorite setup if you’d like to fish your own gear. Otherwise, we have dialed-in rods, reels, and flies ready for you so you can travel light and just show up.
Am I good enough for this trip?
Whether you are making your first cast or your ten-thousandth, we will meet you exactly where you are with a relaxed, no-pressure approach. Our focus is purely on your learning and fun on the water, ensuring every angler feels right at home in Montana.
What if the weather or river conditions change?
We keep a close eye on the weather, flows, and hatches, adjusting our start times or locations to ensure your day is safe and comfortable. There is a lot of great fishing that occurs in uncomfortable weather, unsafe weather is our measuring stick. Our goal is to keep the experience fun, fishy and productive, even if Mother Nature shifts our original plans.
How do we get started on trip day?
We'll meet at our agreed spot for a quick head count and gear check, identify how many pieces you forgot from the Gear Checklist above (haha!), rollout to the water and get you fishing. It's that easy. We'll send or confirm the final plan with you ahead of time so there are no surprises on your big day.
