Matt Nispel
Letmfly Owner, Outfitter & Lead Guide
Guiding style: patient, easy-going in the boat, relentless about finding the bite.
I’ve been chasing fish with flies for over 30 years, and guiding across Montana, Yellowstone National Park, and Wyoming for more than a decade. I love digging into whatever bite the day is offering and I’m just as happy watching a dry get sipped as I am seeing a streamer get crushed.
Over the years I’ve built a deep technical toolkit, but I don’t believe a great day is about numbers alone. For me, it’s about reading water together, slowing down, and letting the river give you a story you’ll want to tell for a long time.
I’m excited to help you chase your own fly‑fishing goals while sharing the wild places my fellow guides and I can’t seem to get enough of.
Let’s fish!

About Our Guide Crew
In Montana, fly-fishing guides are independent contractors rather than employees. At Letmfly, we only work with seasoned, proven guides we trust to represent us on the water.

The guides you see below are a few of our core regulars, not a complete roster. Whoever you fish with, you’ll be with someone who knows these rivers deeply and shares our approach to safety, stewardship, and a good time on the water.
